Dark green leafy veggies are one of nature’s greatest superfoods. A daily green smoothie can dramatically increase your consumption of this fantastic superfood, as well as increasing your antioxidants and fibre. Fibre is critical for cleaning out your digestive tract and eliminating toxins, and is largely deficient in the Standard North American diet. Blending helps to make the greens’ full spectrum of nutrition readily available to the body and retains all of the fiber of the greens and fruit.  This green smoothie recipe is excellent and is meant to be altered as desired based on changing ingredients in your fridge. Vary your leafy veggies by substituting kale, chard or arugla and be sure to add parsley or cilantro for enhanced detox support. Enjoy!
